Lob
Relief that still knows how to leave
Too much trail metal and a lob hops on firm bent. Too little and March sponge eats the head. Relief is the second arc, after camber crown and leading-edge height are already honest.
We do not start at 60 because a magazine said so
Some golfers need a 58 with more trail. Some need a 62 that barely exists on a shelf. The sit is the stain on a high-loft plate that can be wetted. If you cannot make an honest lob swing that day, we stop. A hero flop is yellowed out like any other lunge.
Halina writes whether the lob is a scoring club or a panic club. Panic clubs still get a sit, but we will say when the better answer is a gap you can land.
Full freeze bag
52 / 56 / 60 plus a gap check is $285. The lob is often the third head, not the first. If the 56 is still a shovel, we cut that before we talk about 60.
